You can picture the effect of the synthetic mimic as follows: The snake uses its venom to stun or paralyze its prey. However, the paralyzing protein in snake venom cannot be absorbed through the skin. The effect itself, though, has been transferred to smaller, skin-active molecules. The result is the anti-wrinkle active ingredient Syn®-ake. The beauty industry uses this new miracle ingredient to relax facial muscles and counteract the formation of wrinkles.
Syn®-Ake in cosmetics
The active ingredient not only numbs the skin’s surface, but also hydrates the skin, supplies it with nutrients, and promotes skin elasticity. Serums and creams do not contain Syn®-ake in its pure form. It is blended with additional skin-care ingredients into a cream or a serum.
