Macadamia nut oil is a vegetable oil obtained from the nuts of the macadamia tree. In cosmetics, this active ingredient is often used because of its nourishing effect.

The macadamia tree originates from Australia; today it is also cultivated in regions such as Hawaii or South Africa. The macadamia nut, with its fat content of approx. 70%, has an unusually high proportion of nutrients such as vitamin B, iron, and calcium

The oil is used as a carrier oil so the skin can optimally absorb all the ingredients contained in the product. It can also reduce inflammation and is therefore particularly suitable for sensitive skin. In cosmetics, the oil is primarily used in products intended to care for skin or hair.

The fatty acid composition of macadamia nut oil is very similar to human fatty acids – which makes it especially skin-friendly. This means dry, brittle, or sensitive skin can be optimally supported. Skin regeneration is promoted and the skin becomes softer and more supple without leaving a greasy feeling.
